Only Dealer with a Degree in the Field

We have the only dealer in the trade that has a degree specifically related to the field of historical documents and relics. The owner and operator, William Gray, received a Master of Library Science degree with a specialization in Rare Books and Manuscripts from Indiana University Bloomington in 2015.

IU is one of the top institutions and the only one that offers a dregree in rare books and manuscripts in the United States. It is home to the Lilly Library, one of the most important special collections libraries, and it currently houses 8.5 million manuscripts and 450,000 rare books. While William took courses at the Lilly, he was able to handle and researh some of the rarest and most valuable items, including the Gutenberg Bible, Elephant Folio of John James Audubon's Birds of America, First Folio of William Shakespeare's Plays, letter from George Washington accepting the presidency, Thomas Jefferson's copy of the Constitution, a complete collection of Declaration of Independence Signers, and Abraham Lincoln's law office desk.

We have a lifetime return policy, that has never been used, on any item proven to be fraud by PSA/DNA, JSA, and Beckett authentication companies. We provide free shipping and insurance within the United States on every item from Gray Collections and all manuscripts, photographs, and letters that are 4to or 8vo are sent in archival sheet protectors inside ring case (box) binders.

Gray Collections is a private rare book, manuscript, and autograph dealer that buys, sells, trades, and consigns first and limited editions that are signed, inscribed, or presentation copies; autographs related to manuscripts, letters, or signed photographs; works of art; relics; and realia. Based in the Upstate of South Carolina, we have been in business since 2008 and contain Master of Library Science degrees with a specialization in Rare Books and Manuscripts.
